When stakes are high and state coffers low, the 36th District needs Linda K. Jones.

She knows how to do more with less.  She’s always finding ways to build consensus to get results.

Representing the 36th District, Linda Jones will give voice to your concerns and work toward finding real solutions to challenges facing California.

Job Growth

Continue to encourage businesses to look to California in general and the High Desert region in particular to grow the jobs of the future in climate control, biotech, alternative energy, healthcare, aviation and national security.

Education

Emphasize the importance of high-caliber education not just as it affects school-age children, but as a major driver of home prices, new business decisions, infrastructure funding, economic growth and national security.

Public Safety

Instead of academic remedial programs for older teens, focus on prevention with after-school accelerated academic, vocational and recreational programs. Turn juvenile facilities into agents of positive change for youthful offenders with job and life skills training and placement.

Healthcare

Tackle healthcare reform to bring more quality, affordable and cost effective care to more High Desert residents.

Environment

Protect the overused California Delta to ensure future water resources for millions of Californians. Promote sustainable growth and conservation throughout the district.

Housing

Ensure that any legislation directed at assisting homeowners to prevent foreclosure be structured so it applies only to owner-occupied homes. California will not become a bailout for those who had tried to get rich quick from soaring housing prices and got stuck with their properties when the market began to dive.

Ensure that there is quality and affordable housing for our senior and developmentally disabled populations
